Synopsis:

After being abducted by a disturbing middle-aged man, KATE WALKER awakens to find herself in a coffin-like chamber stained with blood. Suddenly, the chamber door opens revealing a strange underworld. Kate finds herself with 19 other strangers in this otherworldly place. The group soon discovers that they each have been chosen for a reason, abducted and placed into this nightmarish labyrinth where they are nothing more than sport for unearthly demon-like creatures that stalk and kill their human prey. Almost immediately, a pack of the vicious hunters attack from the darkness killing half of the 19 humans. Kate and the others flee in panic. The hunt is on. As the people run, they split up trying to find safety but are killed off one-by-one by legions of creatures. Soon the group is reduced to only a few survivors. While fighting for survival, Kate is rescued by Ian, a man she has not seen before. He claims he has been hiding from the creatures for years, trapped in the labyrinth, and declares he has found a way out – but he needs Kate’s help. Reluctantly, Kate and Ian form an alliance to escape from the labyrinth and the creatures. After Kate and Ian desperately battle their way through the labyrinth encountering evil traps, strange otherworldly environments and hoards of the hideous creatures, they awaken in the outside world only to be confronted by the strange man whom originally abducted them. He reveals that he made a deal with the creatures and considers himself “The Protector of mankind”; as long as he sacrifices humans and provides them to the creatures to hunt, they will spare his life and will stay in the underworld instead of wreaking havoc on mankind. Now Kate must decide if she will become “The new Protector” or take the chance that it was all just a horrifying nightmare.
